Billing Specialist

NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time Billing Specialist in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

• Works with Accounting and Project Managers to ensure accurate/timely customer billings
• Follows up with customers on outstanding receivables
• Reviews job work tickets/job cost reports to create and submit customer invoices
• Creates schedule of values for AIA pay applications and submits monthly billings utilizing customer billing portals as required
• Reviews WIP reports and follows up with Project Managers on billing requests
• Ensures receipt of signed proposals, purchase order numbers, internal requisitions, signatures and identifies other customer special requests before processing invoices
• Enters, edits, and processes customer invoices weekly
• Processes and acquires lien waivers and final project close-out documents as needed

• 2-4 years' billing and/or clerical accounting experience, construction industry preferred
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
