Position reports to:
System Drives Production Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for providing the technical lead and coordination of new product localization for the US – Motion – High Power Production Lines in the areas of Safety, Delivery, Internal Logistics, Lean Manufacturing, Change Management, Automation and Quality. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, driving efficiency, quality, and readiness for localized production, while fostering seamless collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure project success.

This role contributes to the Motion High Power (MOHP) System Drives (SD) Division in the United States.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end localization of new products into manufacturing, ensuring alignment with production capabilities, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identify and implement necessary modifications to processes to support efficient and scalable localized manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure all localized products meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously by utilizing change management skills to manage risks and meet project deadlines. This individual must work collaboratively with stakeholders, manage phase in / phase out of changes, and have robust follow‑through on changes to ensure success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in structured project management methodologies (PMP or Six Sigma Certification Preferred).
  • Continuous improvement mindset, result orientation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Travel requirement – 10%
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
