Northwest Respiratory Services is seeking experienced Per Diem Respiratory Therapists and Registered Nurses to support our office in Milwaukee, WI and the surrounding area. Northwest Respiratory Services is a leading provider of oxygen and respiratory products throughout the Midwest and Rockies. We specialize in serving the long‑term care community and oxygen‑dependent Veterans. The ideal candidate would be someone looking to pick up extra hours occasionally on a needed basis.
You will apply your unique skill set and experience to home care and skilled nursing facility environments by setting patients up, providing comprehensive instruction, follow‑up and ongoing support of high‑technology modalities.
In‑house training on Northwest Respiratory Services equipment will occur upon hire.
Compensation- Hourly rate
- Mileage reimbursement
- Eligible to participate in 401K program
- Deliver, set up and provide instruction of home medical equipment to include: oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen systems, BiPAP, CPAP, overnight and continuous oximetry, humidity systems, suction and pediatric set‑ups
- Provide routine equipment maintenance, instruction of proper use, safety, cleaning and continuing education to clients
- Schedule and conduct staff in‑services of respiratory equipment to skilled nursing facilities as requested
- Serve as a resource to referrals, physicians, clients and NRS staff; assist with troubleshooting of equipment
- Current RT/RN/LPN license in the state of Wisconsin and in other state(s) as required based on territory served
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a motor‑vehicle records check and drug test
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer‑service skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Home‑care experience is preferred
