Base pay range$21.45/hr - $32.20/hr
Actual compensation offered within the pay range of $21.45 - $32.20 for an MA or $23.65 - $35.50 for an LPN will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training and internal equity. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies base pay.
Compensation and Benefits- 401(k) company contributions: 3% of your eligible annual salary and 401(k) employer match: dollar for dollar up to 3%

You will be helping patients live well by performing the following responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering/documenting/updating pertinent health information (e.g., chief complaint, allergies, medications). Monitors and completes Clinical Integration/Quality Improvement measures with notification to clinician for opportunities within their scope.
- Performs laboratory procedures (e.g., strep test, wound culture, specimen collection) using aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines.
- Assists the Physician/Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers routine medications, under physician/APC orders or approved standing protocols, including immunizations, antibiotics, vitamins, and topical agents.
- Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, care algorithms, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to Registered Nurses and Physician/APC per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Communicates with Physician/APC and health care team to ensure smooth clinic flow and accurate, timely information to the patient.
- May perform basic and advanced clinical support tasks or skills based on the specialty and competencies, such as removal of sutures and staples, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen), phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, prescription refills using approved protocols, etc., under clinical supervision.
- Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; understands growth and development across the life span and can assess data to identify age-specific needs per department policies.
- Active license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association) needed within 45 days unless determined not required by the department leader

- Advanced training beyond high school including completion of an accredited/approved Practical Nursing program
- GED or HS Equivalency Diploma
- Completion of an accredited/approved Medical Assistant program, or 2 years of verifiable full-time MA experience within the last 5 years
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus to be paid on your 1st or 2nd paycheck after 90 days (Qualified External Candidates Only).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Ability to perform routine and complex clinical tasks within MA scope after demonstrated competency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with patients, team members, and physicians
- Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrates customer service skills that support a positive patient experience
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, climb, and reach; may require lifting up to 35 pounds and use of patient handling equipment for heavier lifts with assistance
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch; able to use fine motor skills
- Exposure to hazards (mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids); protective clothing/equipment provided as needed
- Operates all job-related equipment
