Primary Responsibilities: The Quality Supervisor leads quality initiatives in the warehouse, supports continuous improvement, manages document control, and ensures compliance with ISO and corporate standards.
Position SummaryThe Quality Supervisor is a visible leadership and development role. This individual is responsible for supporting the quality programs in the warehouse and will report to the site Operations Manager. This role supports local continuous improvement activities, document controls, and ISO activities. He/she will also ensure that the operation adheres to the overall corporate mission, vision, and core values while consistently meeting client and company expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain compliance with international, industry, and customer‑specific quality standards.
- Lead and individually perform analysis of product/service issues to determine root causes.
- Manage and communicate change‑control processes to all departments.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain the internal quality audit system.
- Assist in implementation and monitoring of company quality systems, including ISO 9001:2008.
- Assist in establishing, implementing, and evaluating quality management system metrics.
- Provide guidance and support for customer service and quality departments, aiding problem solving and improvement opportunities.
- Manage customer‑driven continuous improvement roadmaps.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Programs at all levels, including education of these programs.
- Develop and conduct training on the quality system and related topics.
- Oversee document control; update, create, and publish controlled documents, send change notifications to effected parties, and follow up on the Quality Management System.
- Develop and implement administrative systems including record management, traceability, and trend reporting.
- Identify cost improvement initiatives generating positive results to the assigned operation EBIDTA.
- Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
- Monitor KPIs for the assigned operation.
- Work overtime as dictated by business operations.
- Communicate problems and questions to site leadership and implement solutions to minimize risk.
- Follow all safety procedures and comply with all DSV policies and procedures.
- Ensure all equipment, supplies, documents, and materials related to the job are managed appropriately.
- Communicate with all levels of staff and the public as appropriate.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- 3+ years experience in logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
- Prior experience in safety observations/inspections and developing compliance strategies.
- Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
- Preferred:
Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation. - Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.
- English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and personnel skills.
- Good communication (written, oral) and leadership skills.
- Adaptable to change and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years supervisor experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehousing.
- Must be able to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) and Transportation Security Training Requirements annually.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures during warehouse seasons.
- 4‑Year College Degree preferred; equivalent experience or combination of education and experience acceptable.
- 3PL management experience strongly preferred.
