Production Planner – Motion Drive Products Division (New Berlin, WI)

Work model: Hybrid in New Berlin, WI

Your role and responsibilities:

• Review and schedule customer and stock orders, monitor SAP MRP-generated production orders, and create professional production plans to meet promised lead‑times and on‑time delivery goals.
• Execute finish‑goods stock plans to achieve unit inventory turns while sustaining volume levels.
• Release manufacturing work orders and/or monitor automated releases, and perform daily plant‑level MRP to meet production delivery schedules.
• Ensure material, resources, engineering documentation, and labor are available before order release and that consumption is correct for every order.
• Participate in the integrated business planning process (IBP) to understand short, medium, and long‑term customer demands and expectations.
• Act as the primary contact for production‑related issues and inquiries from sales, customer service, and product management, ensuring consistent communication on behalf of the production team.
• Generate, analyze, and communicate various reports and production KPIs—including production lead times, on‑time deliveries, warranty orders, and expedited requests.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field and 1+ year of internship or full‑time experience in production planning, scheduling, and/or supply chain.
• Working knowledge of general supply‑chain and production activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP System – SAP preferred.
• Detail oriented, organized, and excellent written and verbal communication skills with cross‑functional internal and external parties.
• MUST have work authorization that permits employment for ABB in the US.
