• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Recommend items for sale, including trade‑ups and companion items.
• Process customer purchases, voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and, when possible, direct customers to the OTC aisle.
• Keep counters, shelves, and the store clean and merchandised; perform inventory tasks and maintain records.
• Assist pharmacists with scheduling and workflow, including verifying medication accuracy and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies, the Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and Good Faith Dispensing rules.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including physician calls.
• Process and resubmit manual claims for third‑party prescription services efficiently.
• Support pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement per company policies.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport, poster print, and creative machine services.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities by monitoring orders and delivering them to customers.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred:
  Six months of retail experience.
• Preferred:
  Prior experience with Walgreens.
• Preferred:
  Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Preferred:
  Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• Preferred: PTCB certification.
• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification/registration.
• Attend required training and complete continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy.
