• Work with hardware and software related to commercial and industrial fire alarm systems; receive training and certifications that pertain to fire alarm systems as needed.
• Understand and adhere to state, local, and national codes that pertain to fire alarm systems.
• Install and program fire alarm systems, including control panels and associated devices.
• Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Provide clear documentation of work performed, including inspection and service reports.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Stay updated on local fire codes and industry standards.

• NICET I or II certification in fire alarm systems preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Competent computer and programming skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and accurate record‑keeping.
• Positive attitude and high integrity with the ability to make solid connections with customers.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Physical requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduit.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, overhead work, and climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Must be able to see color to discern color‑coded wiring.
