We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in Quick Books and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with payroll functions. If you have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process and record vendor invoices in Quick Books.
    • Ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
    • Reconcile accounts payable reports to ensure accuracy.
    • Manage vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Assist with payroll processing weekly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing for financial transactions.
  • Provide financial information to senior management as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable Clerk, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with Quick Books (Desktop and/or Online).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
