Overview

Special Events Assistant
Busy florist and event design company in need of team member to assist with event design and decor as well as customer service and custom orders.

• We are looking for someone creative as well as crafty, with some design experience preferred but not necessary.
• Position also includes event planning, as well as event set up and tear downs.
• Applicant will need to learn about event rentals (tents, tables, chairs, linens, etc), all aspects of decor to include flowers, balloons and balloon decor, fabric draping, lighting, theme decor, etc.
• Team member will also be required to learn tuxedos and tuxedo sizing and fittings, Invitation ordering, and wedding and event coordination.
• Position requires some heavy lifting and ceiling work, so being able to work on ladders or skyjacks is a must.
• Applicant must have a flexible work schedule and weekend availability is required.
• Reliable transportation a must.
• Applicant must have a willingness to learn and retain much information (sizes, counts, prices), be able to handle stress well and meet time deadlines, be somewhat computer savvy and able to take initiative and follow instructions.
• A winning personality is a plus!
• Organizational skills are appreciated.
