Job Summary
:
Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care and various clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of clinic. May be assigned to specific medical specialty (e.g., oncology) to help with patient care related to that specialty.

Carolina East Physicians is made up of over 150 physicians, and mid-level providers who provide care to patients spanning four eastern North Carolina Counties. Minimum Requirements
:
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
- Has obtained certification and is currently a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or obtains certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Maintains AHA BLS certification.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds Carolina East's Standards of Excellence.
