Third Party Biller - Insurance & Billing

Job Summary:

Performs all duties necessary in the review, follow-up and collection of third party insurance claims.

Carolina East Physicians is made up of over 150 physicians, and mid-level providers who provide care to patients spanning four eastern North Carolina Counties. We have specialties including Primary Care, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Gastroenterology.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of medical office experience.
• Must have complete understanding of the 1500 Physician billing form relative to the preparation, coding and interpretation of information in billing claims.
• Must be knowledgeable of the use of CPT-4 and HCPCS coding and modifier usage.
• Must be knowledgeable of guidelines and requirements for eligibility, coverage and benefits and claim submission practices for all government programs (Medicare, Medicaid, VA and Tricare/Champus).
• Must know basic billing specifications.
• Requires experience working with PC's, printers and be able to maneuver between several PC applications.
• Must be knowledgeable of Windows and Microsoft Word.
