Position Summary

Coastal Radiology, a Radiology Partners affiliate, is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our team in New Bern, North Carolina, a small Inner Banks town located just 40 miles north of Emerald Isle. This is a partnership-track position and offers a heavy concentration of Breast Imaging, up to 100%. Candidates who wish to maintain proficiency in general diagnostic skills will have the option to participate in general diagnostic shifts and emergency call if desired.

We are recruiting for a full-time radiologist but will also customize a role for physicians interested in working part-time. Our practice includes screening mammography, diagnostic mammography and ultrasound, and breast MRI. We perform the whole range of breast interventions, using stereo, ultrasound and MRI. The ideal candidate is proficient in all aspects of women’s imaging and breast procedures. We have an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout our practice.

• 9-hour shifts between 8 AM-5 PM, Monday – Friday
• Potential for mixed on-site and off-site, full time Breast

We are offering a generous compensation package, commencement bonus, relocation and 1-year partnership track. Additionally, we offer an excellent benefits package to include all medical benefits, med malpractice, retirement funding, and 10 weeks of PTO increasing to 12 weeks as a partner.

Coastal Radiology is a 15 physician, progressive, multispecialty radiology group. With a long history in the region and a dedicated vision for the future, we serve 2 regional medical centers, 5 imaging centers and provide state-of-the-art interventional services in both the hospital and outpatient offices. • Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
• Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
• Completed one year of post-residency fellowship training in Breast Imaging preferred, but not required
• Be licensed or have the ability to obtain a license in North Carolina
• Candidates on a J1 visa will be considered
