Job Summary:
Physician Assistant duties will include, but not be limited to: performing examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic and screening tests, prescribing and ordering medication as appropriate for patients' medical conditions, and referring patients for further care as clinically appropriate. If the primary supervising physician has a question about the management of a patient's medical condition, then they should review and discuss the patient's medical record and medical plan with the physician assistant.

Carolina East Physicians is made up of over 150 physicians, and mid-level providers who provide care to patients spanning four eastern North Carolina Counties. - Must demonstrate successful completion of Baccalaureate Degree or a minimum of two years of college in an accredited PA Education Program and be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Maintain BLS/ACLS certifications
- Must work under the supervision of an M.D.
- A copy of the PA's Scope of Service must be on file at CIM and Carolina East Health System.
