Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating hearing, balance, and communication disorders. Prescribes treatments and recommends referrals to patients for further care as clinically appropriated.
Minimum RequirementsDoctorate in Audiology or a Master s degree in Audiology with continuous active certificate. Requires a North Carolina license as an Audiologist or new graduate privilege license (temporary) in Audiology issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. For privilege license, full license is expected within one month after completing supervised year of training. Maintain CPR certification required.
