Compensation and benefits: $40,000 Student Loan Repayment or $20,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible individuals. Flexible schedules between 20-40 hours per week. Total compensation ranges from $104,500 to $156,000, including base pay and bonuses. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k.

Position overview: Optum seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Home and Community Care team in Jones and Craven Counties, NC. Responsibilities include conducting in-home assessments, managing care, and providing preventive health services to vulnerable populations, with a focus on holistic and seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing comprehensive in-home assessments
  • Screening and testing as appropriate
  • Diagnosing and managing medical conditions
  • Communicating findings to primary care providers
  • Identifying urgent issues and intervening
  • Educating patients on health topics

Qualifications:

  • Unencumbered NP or PA license, or ability to obtain before start date
  • Certification in Family, Geriatrics, Adult, or related fields for NPs or NCCPA for PAs
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and handle physical demands
  • Reliable transportation and driver’s license

Preferred experience:

  • At least 1 year of clinical experience
  • Experience in geriatrics, cardiology, internal medicine, endocrinology, or home health
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
