Perform and sustain warehouse functions related to receiving, material handling, inventory control and customer service processes. Controls warehouse inventory by coordinating movement of product from receiving, to warehouse, to production, to shipping. Manages and developing optimal warehouse processes to support uninterrupted manufacturing. Acts as a point of contact for projects, including coordination of the warehouse, in addition to supporting process reviews and improvements.

Is responsible for SAP cut overs and acts as a SAP key user. Provides training and supports tracking.

• Performs assigned warehouse function according to the standard and/ or SOP.
• Meets unit quality and productivity metrics.
• Follows written or oral instructions
• Supports proper receiving, shipping, handling, distribution and storage of all freight, product and supplies that come in and out of warehouse
• Verifies customer accounts and act as point of contact for customer service related needs.
• Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
• Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
• Strive to maintain accuracy with inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product.
• Assist with planning warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
• Take into account implications of freight turnover, size, weight and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
• Process goods receipts of parts, components and raw materials: including labeling, verifying goods receipts vs. shipping slips, verifying pallet quantities and box quantities.
• Use SAP to support inventory control and warehouse documentation.
• Support in the process of receiving and distribution of indirect materials.
• Ensure accurate stock locations and on-line data entry.
• Safely operates material handling equipment including electronic mechanical scales.
• Forklift certification required.
• Operates industrial lift truck, electrical and manual pallet jacks and other forms of materials handling equipment on the factory floor, inside various vehicles and at the loading/shipping dock.
• Cycle & Inventory Counting
• Physically count computer generated part numbers to test stock status, perpetual inventory records and then document the results of these counts and the quantity on hand per the stock status file for each part number tested.
• Identify and reconcile all differences between actual part number counts and perpetual stock status balances.
• Perform on demand cycle counts based on specific part numbers requested by accounting and material planning group.
• Research cycle counting discrepancies and identify root cause.
• Resolve inventory discrepancy issues with the use of the SAP system, including adjustments.
• Work with Materials Planning and Warehouse personnel to reduce inventory adjustments and errors.
• Assist in identifying obsolete parts and having them removed from inventory.
