CDL Driver​/Skid Steer Operator

Are you an experienced Class A CDL driver looking for a long-term opportunity? First Option Workforce Solutions is seeking a dependable driver to operate a large dump truck and learn to operate a skid steer for a local concrete-cutting company. This hands-on construction position includes work throughout San Antonio and surrounding Central Texas areas, with the potential for overtime. Occasional overnight travel may be required, and expenses are covered.

• Drive and maneuver a large, bedded dump truck to and from job sites.
• Learn to operate a skid steer and, eventually, the company’s concrete-cutting machines.
• Manually move bags of concrete from commercial buildings to skid steers outside throughout the shift.
• Coordinate work with construction crews and support scheduled jobs.
• Perform physical work outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions.

• Some previous Class A CDL driving experience.
• Manual-transmission experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and operate a skid steer; prior skid steer or concrete-work experience is not required.
• Ability and willingness to perform manual labor, including repeatedly handling bags of concrete.
• Ability to travel from San Antonio to surrounding cities and towns throughout Central Texas.
• Seeking a long-term position; must be a team player and flexible with the work schedule.
• Electrical-grade steel-toe boots required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. No DWI convictions within the last 7 years or violent crimes.

• Monday-Friday
• 6:00 AM–5:00 PM; some weekends may be needed.
• Hours may change based on scheduled jobs.
• Seldom, overnight stays may be required; expenses are covered.

• $25.00 or more per hour depending on experience
• Potential overtime. Overtime is not guaranteed.
