Job Description:

Overview:

Leads the design and coordination of land development projects for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Applies advanced civil engineering knowledge to produce site layouts, grading, utilities, and drainage plans.

Responsibilities:

∙ Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil site projects

∙ Develop grading, drainage, and utility designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D

∙ Conduct feasibility analyses and layout studies for site optimization

∙ Support permitting efforts with reports, exhibits, and technical responses

∙ Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory entities

∙ Perform quality reviews of design deliverables

∙ Guide junior engineers and review their technical work

∙ Prepare drainage studies and utility service reports

∙ Manage task-level schedules and project milestones

∙ Attend client meetings and contribute to project planning

Qualifications:

∙ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

∙ Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

∙ Minimum of 4 years of experience in land development or civil site design

∙ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

∙ Familiarity with grading, utility, and drainage design standards

∙ Strong written and verbal communication skills

∙ Ability to manage priorities and work collaboratively

∙ Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated

∙ Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed
