Assume manufacturing assembly process ownership for existing and new products. Initiate and lead manufacturing continuous improvement activities to meet and exceed specific measurable goals for department safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction and up time.
Work Schedule:
4 days on 4 days off rotating schedule night shift position working hours TBD
- Responsible for input into design and development of advanced automation equipment and process technologies in automotive manufacturing applications.
- Support, install, calibrate, operate, automation equipment.
- Responsible for process documentation, Setup Matrix / Parameter Cards / Work Instructions / Process Guides.
- Training support for technicians, operators, and others as needed.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (fish bone, 5‑why, etc.).
- Troubleshoot equipment and help train others on various troubleshooting methodologies.
- Work with integrators on implementing updates and corrective actions.
- Perform MSA, MCA, and GRR studies for equipment qualification and release.
- Maintain and improve equipment software.
- Works with equipment integrators and cross‑plant support teams to determine application specific automation and process requirements.
- Collaborate with other locations and/or external suppliers.
- Collaborate across departments not limited to:
Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering and IT. - Supports TPM program by providing creating training material, mentoring and training to peers, technicians and operator personnel.
- Identifies and documents projects in CBS, 8D, and 5 why.
- Provides lessons learned input to design / development through DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews.
- Supports activities for OEE, Scrap, Yield and DPMO improvement to support plant performance metrics.
- Advanced manufacturing line problem solving related to manufacturing process related defects.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $73,500 - $97,000 a year depending on experience. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Qualifications What you bring to the role- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- 2 years experience with automation technology equipment.
- Experience working with scanners and/or vision systems.
- Experience working with solidworks or similar CAD system.
- 2 years experience working with electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting schematics.
- 2 years problem solving and root cause corrective action experience within a manufacturing facility.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to train others.
- Ability to create and execute work plans independently.
- Strong aptitude and experience with a PC.
- Ability to work rotating 4 on 4 off schedule.

- Ability to work on a manufacturing shopfloor environment.
- Must wear company‑provided ESD safety‑toed shoes, smock, and other PPE in required areas.
