• Maintain regular work schedule and process Fair Hearing requests.
• Testify during Fair Hearings as technical authority on eligibility issues.
• Review case records to validate determinations and conduct case reviews.
• Provide guidance to regional staff on potential errors and counseling clients on benefits.
• Research policies, collaborate with attorneys, and coordinate hearing activities.
• Interview clients via phone or in person; verify income and resources.
• Document case records using automated systems.
• Resolve complaints and escalated issues.
• Perform shadowing and other duties as assigned.
• Work occasional overtime, including weekends, when required.

• Interviewing techniques for sensitive information.
• Basic arithmetic, percentage calculations, and data entry.
• Prioritization, time management, and meeting deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Operating computer equipment, Internet, Microsoft Office.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to handle a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 60 semester‑hour college experience preferred.
• Two years’ relevant customer‑service experience with public contact.
• Twelve months experience as a MEPD Advisor II in the last year.
• Recent experience using TIERS, EWMS, Medicaid policy, and automated systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work evenings, weekends.

• Telework may be eligible subject to policy and supervisor discretion.
