Location:

Christus Santa Rosa Hospital – 600 North Union Avenue, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Online applications only.

Schedule:

Full time and part time schedules; days and hours may vary. Open availability.

Pay Range: $15.00 – $15.75 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, assisting patients with menu selection, meal assembly, delivery, and pickup.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
  • Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and on time; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
  • Comply with regulator agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and HIPAA confidentiality policies.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray lines.
  • Adhere to facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
  • Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot eat food through their mouth, are on liquid diets, or require a specific calorie count.
  • Communicate problems or concerns with patients and appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Occasional lifting or moving up to 100 pounds; ability to maneuver and push food‑delivery carts.
