Technology Implementation Lead
Join New Braunfels Utilities as a Technology Implementation Lead. The role combines semi‑technical expertise with strong leadership to spearhead the selection and deployment of new enterprise application platforms.
Base Pay Range$83,658.99/yr – $/yr
Position SummaryWe seek an experienced and dynamic leader to manage cross‑functional teams, generate enthusiasm, and serve as liaison between Technology, Project Management Office, and stakeholders during enterprise application platform implementation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Lead multidisciplinary teams including IT, operations, customer service, finance, and external consultants.
- Foster a collaborative environment that motivates team members, encourages innovation, and drives outstanding results.
- Act as liaison between technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
- Maintain semi‑technical oversight of enterprise application platform implementation, ensuring architecture, data migration, and integration meet standards.
- Collaborate with technology teams to troubleshoot issues, prioritize enhancements, and maintain system integrity throughout deployment.
- Work with the Project Management Office on change management strategies, including training sessions, workshops, and communication plans.
- Generate excitement and buy‑in within working groups by presenting clear benefits and showcasing success stories.
- Establish feedback loops with end‑users to continuously improve system functionality and user experience.
- Identify potential risks related to scope, timelines, and resources, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop quality assurance protocols to ensure system performance aligns with organizational goals.
- Split between secure facilities, field locations, and standard office settings.
- Subject to after‑hours call‑out, emergency response, and occasional travel.
- May require personal protective equipment and exposure to weather or industrial hazards.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing while reviewing security systems and dashboards.
- Occasional lifting (≤25 lbs) of security equipment or infrastructure components.
- Ability to quickly traverse extensive facilities during incident response.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Five years or more of experience in technology project management or enterprise software platform implementation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application platform implementation, data management, and integration techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to translate technical details into business benefits.
- Experience working with enterprise application platforms in a utility environment.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile/Scrum Master) are a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with system integration tools, data migration strategies, and enterprise application solutions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to emerging technologies and evolving business needs.
- Proven capability to drive organizational change, inspire teams, and maintain high levels of motivation and engagement.
