Schedule: Sundays through Saturdays – Days/Nights 7 P‑to‑7 A or 7 A‑to‑7 P
Location: New Braunfels, TX
Age Range: Infant
Acuity: Feeding Tube, Cough Assist, CPAP, Chronic Respiratory Responsibilities & Medication Administration

Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of practice (compact licenses transferred within 90 days)
  • Current CPR certification (hands‑on component)
  • TB skin test within last 12 months
  • Six months prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
  • Provide and document skilled nursing care under supervision of a Registered Nurse per care plan and physician orders
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor or physician as appropriate
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care promptly
  • Participate in, implement, and update the nursing care plan
  • Implement appropriate nursing actions based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and intervene to prevent or reduce risk
  • Comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Use infection control measures to protect staff and patient per OSHA standards
  • Educate patient and family on disease process, self‑care techniques, and prevention strategies
  • Maintain competency through education, continuing education units, and skill evaluations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures
State‑Specific Requirements
  • South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatrics experience
  • California – One (1) year of experience under current nursing license required
  • Louisiana – One (1) year of experience as a licensed nurse required
  • Continuing Education as required by state
Preferences
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience

  • Have visual and hearing acuity
  • Have strong sense of smell and touch
  • Respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or while traveling
Environment
  • Function in varied environments with potential exposure to allergens and other conditions
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
