Position SummaryThe Groundwater Technician is responsible for maintaining all components of ground water treatment plants, booster stations, and associated infrastructure. Duties include monitoring and adjusting chlorination equipment to maintain TCEQ compliance, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring proper installation and operation of all equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all ground water equipment, including valves, motors, and vessels.
- Replace and/or repair any components associated with ground water facilities, booster stations, or the distribution system.
- Prepare field work orders for all repairs and replacements.
- Locate interconnecting distribution systems to map PR valve locations.
- Set up and maintain safety controls on equipment for all ground water facilities and the distribution system.
- Troubleshoot all ground water related equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
• Extensive background in water plant maintenance and repair and knowledge of water supply systems.
• Technical or specialized training equivalent to two years of technical school.
• High school diploma or GED required for certification and licensing.
• Three to five years of related experience.
