Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician; Diesel Mechanic

What you’ll do

We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Truck/Trailer Mechanic to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on our tractor and trailer equipment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of fleet equipment components.
• Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
• Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and take steps to solve the issue if possible.
• Complete complex work orders with proper coding (Reason for Repair (RFR), American Trucking Association (ATA)), description of condition, cause, and correction, including properly completing warranty return tags as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Sunday – Wednesday 3:00 pm – 1:30 am

Hourly wage range: $28.20 – $31.70 (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage). Additional premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances such as schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
