Accounting Manager

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This role manages a team of accounting professionals, develops and implements policies and procedures, and provides strategic guidance to support the organization’s goals. The Accounting Manager acts as a key liaison with external auditors and senior leadership.

• Experience with audit preparation and working with auditors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance, or related field required .
• CPA or equivalent professional certification /study preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment required .
• Experience with SOX controls and compliance required .
• Construction/project accounting experience preferred.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and accounting support staff.
• Take ownership of the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger (GL) and account reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner .
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure all financial reporting complies with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the parent company accounting team to fulfill financial reporting requests, including those necessary for quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) SEC filings.
• Work closely with cross-company shared service teams—including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll—to support the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial information.
• Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial records.
• Support process documentation and record maintenance.
• Coordinate the annual audit process and work closely with external auditors.
• Carry out and m onitor accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
• Analyze financial data and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Help facilitate other teams’ preparation of application, credit, and/or compliance documentation with finance related information
• Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency within the accounting function.
