Position: Systems Engineer (H/F) - SAFRAN TEST CELLS, INC.

Systems Engineer – Safran Test Cells (AEROCONTACT)

Safran is an international high‑technology group operating in aviation, space and defense. The Safran Aero Boosters division designs, develops and produces motor test cells and related equipment. The role is based in New Brighton, MN with a salary range of $80,000‑$100,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical integration of engineering disciplines on complex quotes and projects.
  • Coordinate interfaces between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the technical and regulatory compliance matrix.
  • Participate as project technical expert in design reviews and customer presentations.
  • Improve test cell designs for manufacturability, cost and maintainability.
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure system reliability.
  • Develop project parameters, assign responsibilities and monitor project teams.
  • Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions.
  • Develop specifications and frameworks to measure project metrics.
  • Establish field test methods and monitoring of test quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
  • 5+ years of related technical experience with 2+ years of direct engineering management.
  • Strong understanding of test‑facility technical issues and product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project plans and performance.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented leadership and influence of teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with technical information communication.
  • Proficiency in design and visualization software (Mat Lab, NX, CAD, CAE, FEA).
  • Knowledge of risk assessment (FMEA, FMECA) and applicable codes and standards.
