Responsibilities- Provide IT infrastructure field support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues with a focus on minimizing impact on hardware warranties and customer security compliance requirements.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals and desktop applications.
- Understand and support enterprise LAN and WAN setups; perform smart hand activities under instruction-based site guidance.
- Lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Deliver desk-side PC break/fix support and basic administration of Windows OS and macOS/Linux (preferred).
- Utilize TCP/IP networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Provide smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware (monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, and data termination panels).
- Troubleshoot system and network issues using deductive reasoning; address end-user network cabling issues.
- Analyze repeat calls and develop preventive actions; participate in problem management.
- Maintain excellent written and oral communication with clients and management; demonstrate strong people skills.
- Meet deadlines, take proactive ownership, and work with a sense of urgency.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing IT infrastructure field support with hardware, software, and OS troubleshooting.
- Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals; basic desktop application support.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN concepts; ability to perform under instruction at sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong desk-side support and PC break/fix capabilities; basic administration of Windows OS; macOS/Linux (preferred).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Experience with ticketing tools (e.g., Service Now, Remedy).
- Preferably Associate Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification; other vendor certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, Client) are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work with customers at different levels; able to work independently or as part of a team.
