Seasonal Customer Service Representative - New Britain/Middletown/Newington, CT

Seasonal Customer Service Representative provides superior, friendly, and efficient transactions and offers company-approved services and products to create a positive experience for all customers. The position facilitates the rental process through verification and documentation of driver information to provide an efficient and timely rental and return experience.

Seasonal Employment Window

The employment window begins in mid May 2026, ends on or before October 31, 2026, and cannot exceed 150 days.

Compensation & Location

This position pays $19.00/hour and is located in one of our offices in the New Britain/Newington/Middletown, CT area.

Scheduling

Multiple schedules are available, inclusive of weekends and holidays. We are hiring for a full‑time (40 hours/week) schedule. Schedules will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and greet customers in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Provide superior, efficient customer service by understanding and communicating rental terms, vehicle features, and other services, including offering optional protection products, upgrades, fuel options, and other equipment.
  • Offer additional assistance by providing directions, maps, local area information, and appropriate service information.
  • Answer incoming calls for reservations, rate quotes, general questions, and provide information and resolution for customers, other branches, and vendors.
  • Place outgoing calls for callback management and miscellaneous calls as assigned.
  • Assist in assessing condition of rental upon return.
  • Notify management of any known customer problems.
  • Notify management of any known vehicle problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Continuously build knowledge and skills, pursue on‑the‑job training and development opportunities, and any company‑sponsored classroom training.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must currently have a valid U.S. driver’s license with no more than two moving violations or at‑fault accidents within the past three years.
  • No drug or alcohol‑related conviction (DWI/DUI) in the past five years.
  • Must have at least six months of prior customer service experience.
  • Must have basic PC and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
