Phonology
Department of English at Central Connecticut State University seeks a part-time Lecturer in Applied Linguistics with a focus on Phonology (graduate).
Required Qualifications- PhD or ABD in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or a related field
- Evidence of focus on Phonology (in research or teaching)
- Evidence of experience teaching at the university level
- Ability to teach day and evening classes in person
- Evidence of interest and/or professional engagement in Multilingualism and Second Language Acquisition
- Evidence of quality teaching experience
- Evidence of interest in issues related to decolonizing curricula
- Instruction:
- Introduction to Phonology (3 cr., graduate, evening); required
- Introduction to Linguistics (3 cr., undergraduate, day); optional
- Participation in department meetings (twice per semester); required
In accordance with the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for the Adjunct position is quoted by credit hour. For more information, please visit the AAUP Collective Bargaining Union Contract.
