About CCSU's Manufacturing and Construction Management Department

The Manufacturing and Construction Management Department at CCSU, housed within the School of Engineering, Science, and Technology (SEST), offers academic programs designed to prepare students for a wide range of technical and leadership positions across both public and private sector industries. The department’s degree programs respond to the increasing demand for highly qualified professionals who possess a strong integration of management and technical competencies in production‑oriented fields, including manufacturing, construction, supply chain, and technical services.

Accordingly, the curriculum provides students with comprehensive knowledge of engineering technologies, technical processes, and technology management.

Position Profile

The Construction Management Program is part of the Manufacturing and Construction Management Department. The program is dedicated to preparing students to become highly qualified, sought‑after professionals, maintaining a high‑quality educational experience, and responding effectively to industry needs. The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), and the department also offers a Master of Science in Construction Management.

The successful candidate for this tenure‑track Assistant Professor position will be expected to teach core courses Customize in construction management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in accordance with departmental needs. The regular teaching load is 12 hours per semester with some evening classes required. The candidate will also be expected to maintain a research agenda aligned with their areas of expertise, disseminate scholarly work through academic journals or conferences, and participate in appropriate service activities at the program, department, university and professional levels.

Evaluative Criteria

Education: All applicants must possess a doctoral degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or a closely related field. ABD (All But Dissertation) candidates will be considered Tay if they provide evidence of degree completion by August 24, 2026.

Experience and Training:
One (1) year of full‑time professional experience in architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry in the U.S. Ability to teach a range of construction management subjects, with demonstrated expertise in three or more of the following areas:
Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Systems, Heavy Highway Construction Systems, Construction Documents, and Building Construction Systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ideal Candidate: Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
Ability to teach Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Systemsირვ;
Two (2) or more years of AEC industry experience in the U.S.;
Evidence excluir scholarly activity including peer‑reviewed publications and funded grant activity;
University‑level teaching experience in the U.S.
