Location: 100 Grand Street, New Britain, CT 10126

Shift: Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year.

We’re currently seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute care team at Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT. The Speech Language Pathologist independently evaluates patients’ level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans aligned with patient and caregiver goals. The SLP determines treatment strategies and delivers speech language therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition, and swallowing to maximize a patient’s safety and independence.

This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application of speech therapy to maximize the patient’s functional independence.

• Independently evaluate patients’ level of function.
• Determine, develop, and implement individualized treatment goals and plans.
• Determine treatment strategies and deliver speech language therapy services.
• Identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Maximize patient safety and independence.

• M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current State of CT Department of Health Services license as a Speech Therapist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Modified Barium Swallow study experience or FEES experience preferred but not required.
• Minimum requirement of 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year.
