POSITION SUMMARY
The Primary Care Family Provider (Physician or APRN) functions as a member of a medical team and applies to the treatment of patients with the medical and related skills acquired through the training and/or experience required for this position. This position may provide services within one or more Wheeler program(s), and the relative concentration between and within programs may change with the needs of the agency.
This position will serve the full life span.
Other staff include:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, Care Management staff, front desk staff and behavioral health staff.
Full Time APRN salary of $122,000-$140,000 based on years of experience. Competitive physician salaries based on years of experience.
Up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus for APRNs and $20,000 for Physicians!
Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Eligible for up to $250,000 in loan repayment through National Health Service Corp (NHSC).

Qualifications- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse ( APRN) or Physician
- Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Family Practice Physician
- Active DEA Controlled substance registration
- Must have one year of primary care provider experience or 3 years of other nurse practitioner/physician experience
Position Requirements
- Will be required to acquire and maintain certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare professionals no later than 90 days from date of hire.

Conducts medical evaluations and formulates accurate diagnoses in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases. Manages prescribed medication, performs physical health examinations, conducts preventive screening and care, develops and presents clear clinical impressions and recommendations that are specific and attainable. Develops and documents clear clinical formulations and medical treatment plans.
Prescribes therapeutic interventions appropriate to identified problems. Administers drugs and biologicals as required by the Clinic.
Demonstrates knowledge of physical health concerns and effective medical interventions. Triages clinical emergencies and implements safety and consultation protocols. Utilizes evidence based and best medical practice.
Monitors patients' self-care management and self-care skills and provides prevention, wellness, and pertinent medical education.
