Shift: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Ambulatory Surgery Center hours:
Monday – Friday, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute‑care community teaching hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room, organizing and administering individualized patient care, providing nursing care according to hospital policies and standards, participating in patient teaching, incorporating patient needs, and engaging in quality improvement activities.

• Perform as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organize and administer individualized, professional patient care.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards.
• Participate in patient teaching, incorporating needs of specific age/cultural groups.
• Engage in quality improvement activities.

• Valid CT RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if not already possessed.
• 1 year of acute care, 2 years surgical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to work closely with physicians and staff.
• Strong organizational skills.
