Position Overview: The Assistant Nurse Manager is a clinical expert and leadership role model for Registered Nurses and other staff. The Assistant Nurse Manager directs patient care activities, ensuring safe and efficient care, reviews assignment of duties, and supports team members to achieve quality and service excellence. The Assistant Nurse Manager facilitates solutions for challenging patient care situations, assigns workload, and collaborates with the manager to monitor staff performance.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the work to ensure the overall care of patients is managed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Review assignment of patient care activities, ensuring staff is qualified to care for assigned patients.
- Support team members and ensure quality and service excellence to patients.
- Facilitate solutions for challenging patient care situations.
- Appropriately assign workload and collaborate with manager to monitor and maintain staff performance.
Qualifications:
- BSN or related field (a candidate completing educational requirements will be considered).
- Current CT RN license is required.
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience required; 3‑5 years of nursing experience.
