About the Salesperson Role
Entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business, focused on customer service, inventory management, and in‑store dealership services. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and requires a basic knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, and retail procedures.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales objectives.
- Offer DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and other basic automotive tasks.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Perform inventory processes such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock organization.
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
- Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stocking.
- Deliver parts to customers safely as needed.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Proficiency with delivery board systems.
- Friendly communication skills.
- Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
- Safety knowledge and adherence to procedures.
- Operational skills in inventory systems and store equipment.
- Knowledge of parts and automotive systems.
- Experience operating POS and parts lookup systems.
- Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
Job Skills
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus). Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Entry‑level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with inventory processes. The position can be part‑time or full‑time and requires fleet safety certification.

- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer.
- Daily collection of credit accounts.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
- Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stocking.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Proficiency with delivery board systems.
- Friendly communication skills.
- Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
- Safety knowledge and adherence to procedures.
- Operational skills in inventory systems (back‑stock) and store equipment.
Job Skills

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, will need to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds, and must have adequate vision and hearing. Specific tasks include handling parts, standing for long periods, and occasional exposure to weather conditions while performing tasks such as battery and wiper blade installation.
Work EnvironmentThe role typically involves indoor work but may include outdoor exposure and handling of moving mechanical parts. The environment may present risks such as electrical shock, exposure to chemicals, and moderate noise levels.
Compensation$16.35 USD per hour – $16.95 USD per hour.
