This position assists YMCA members in finding new ways to inspire healthier habits through health & wellness. The role works closely with members to promote wellness and help individuals realize their personal best. Personal trainers are responsible for developing relationships with members and supporting them in actively working towards better health through encouragement, support, and education.
Qualifications- Degree in exercise science, or a related field from an accredited college. Bachelors degree in exercise science, or a related field from an accredited college or university a plus.
- At least one-year experience in a related field a plus.
- Pervious YMCA experiences, or experience in personal training, and health and wellness programming.
- Child Abuse Prevention, required 60-days into employment.
- CPR, First Aid AED, prior to employment.
- National certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification a plus.
