Position:

Cost Accountant (JCA)

Reports To:

General Manager

The CA works with owners and the office staff to ensure that all jobs are costed properly, accurately, and follow the guidelines for Cost Accountant. You will practice continuous improvement daily as you establish rapport with insurance carriers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, adjusters, agents, and fellow team members.

What does a CA with Paul Davis do?

• Manage all phases of job costing within RMS and Quick Books Accounting Software
• Manage daily operations of the business as needed when the owner or GM is unavailable
• Maintain all accounting, computer, and financial records for the business in conjunction with a CPA

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of job costing
• Handle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and expenses
• Oversee daily operations of the franchise as needed
• Maintain all accounting, computer, and financial records
• Request and maintain updated workplace safety certificates & insurance coverage for subcontractors
• Review costs vs. budget for subcontractors, vendors, and materials
• Enter timesheets and process payroll
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports

Education and Experience:

• High school degree; basic accounting experience required
• Office Manager experience helpful, with a desire to learn new skills
• Organizational skills for books, records, and filing systems
• Proficiency with office equipment, computers, and relevant software
• Construction industry experience is a plus
• Experience with Quicken, Quick Books Online, and advanced Excel skills
• Core Logic RMS/Dash experience is a plus
