Key Responsibilities- Develop and drive the Procurement vision with the stakeholder community.
- Develop the vision, strategy, and implementation plan for specific categories of spend to meet long‑range requirements and maximize value.
- Lead Supplier Relationship Management of strategic suppliers to ensure alignment of J&J objectives—including quality, reliability, innovation, and cost.
- Understand long‑range requirements of business partners and engage in strategic planning to ensure alignment.
- Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.
- Build and manage relationships throughout J&J to foster dynamic dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and critical information for optimal solutions.
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management, and improvement of end‑to‑end value; bring innovation to the business.
- Identify, develop, and implement procurement goals and category strategies based on deep subject‑matter expertise and industry/market dynamics.
- Leverage data analytics and technology to develop and drive procurement strategies aligned with business/sector needs.
- Handle supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint initiatives, and monitor supplier negotiations.
- Lead team meetings and provide updates to Procurement Leadership.
- Lead & prioritize portfolio of procurement initiatives (Innovative Medicine, Med Tech).
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Broad understanding of business operations and procurement focus in spend management.
- Ability to prioritize requests and propose cost/customer‑service alternatives.
- Judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues.
- Strong relationships with J&J senior management.
- Strategic thinking and project‑management experience.
- Continuous improvement orientation.
- Proficiency in core procurement skills (supplier management, performance, market analysis, category management, procurement excellence).
- Credibility with internal customers and supplier community.
- Influencing skills and ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints.
Vacation: 120 hours per calendar year;
Sick time: 40–56 hours per calendar year;
