Job Description
Under the general supervision of the High School Principal or his designee, musicians will prepare the music in the provided book at a professional level. Musicians must attend pit orchestra rehearsals and performances as scheduled.
Essential Functions- Performs provided music at a professional level.
- Be prepared for each rehearsal
- Attend performances and rehearsals
- Timely communication with the pit orchestra director
- Exhibit patience and flexibility during the rehearsal process
- Ensures that conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal or his designee
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Professional level proficiency on given instrument
- NJ Certification as a Teacher
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline
Prior pit orchestra/musical experience preferred
SalaryPending Budgetary Approval
Pending NBEA Contract Negotiations
District hourly rate according the NBEA negotiated contract
not to exceed 40 hours (including rehearsals and performances)
