Responsibilities- Provide support for students and ensure timely patient care across sites.
- Oversee all aspects of patient care and post-treatment management, including recare.
- Ensure compliance with RSDM standards, Clinic Manual policies, Radiation Hazard, Infection Control, Patient's Bill of Rights, Confidentiality, and Quality Assurance protocols.
- Supervise and instruct students by demonstration when required.
- Review patient records after treatment and prior to discharge; document authorization in the consultation section as appropriate.
- Maintain education standards for students in collaboration with site faculty.
- Conduct small group discussions with students when possible; participate in faculty standardization and calibration (CODE).
- Evaluate student competencies; participate in quality and quantity reviews of dental personnel when requested.
- Stay current in dentistry at a level appropriate to the title; use pharmacological adjuncts as appropriate; consult with medical staff for oral manifestations of medical conditions.
- Be available for consultation by medical staff on oral pathology and related conditions; arrange programs and treatment for patients with oral trauma, pain, infection, or other pathology.
- Assist in preventive dentistry, dental education, and oral hygiene programs.
- Diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of teeth, gingiva, mucosa, and related structures; perform restorative procedures and administration of local anesthesia as needed.
- Maintain patient records and reports for discharge and control; participate in on-call duties administratively, operationally, and clinically.
- Adhere to Rutgers’ compliance standards and RBHS Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy; stay informed of applicable federal, state, and Rutgers regulations and ensure staff are trained on compliance policies.

Minimum Education and Experience
- A DDS
/
DMD degree from a CODA-accredited school. - Must possess or be eligible for a New Jersey dental license.
- Standing, walking, sitting with some extended periods.
