Maternal Fetal Medicine. Coverage dates needed: starting in March, ongoing.
Tasks and expected procedures:
- Ultrasound interpretation; fetal diagnostic procedures
- Preterm labor, hypertensive disorders, diabetes and placental abnormalities consultations
- Consult on medically complex deliveries; call coverage onsite in L&D
Description of work assignment:
The MFM locum physician will provide high‑risk obstetrical care and consultative services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervision and interpretation of perinatal diagnostic studies (e.g., ultrasound, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies)
- Prenatal consultations for complex maternal and fetal conditions
- Inpatient consultations and co‑management of high‑risk obstetric patients
- Participation in multidisciplinary care planning (e.g., for maternal cardiac disease, fetal anomalies)
- Supervision of sonographers and collaboration with OB/GYN residents, fellows, and APPs
- Covering call for medically complex deliveries in L&D
Clinic days/sessions and/or OR days: potentially 5 days/week, covering ATU/call coverage.
ScheduleDays: 8 am–5 pm; call 5 pm–8 am. Effective from 2026‑03‑02 to 2026‑12‑31.
Board Status RequirementBC/BE ABOG Certified. (Additional support staff: nurses, ultrasound techs, MSAs. The provider will work with other physicians, sonographers, genetic counselors. Advanced Practice Providers: the division has an APN; locum would not be part of the collaborative agreement with the APN.)
