Salary: $171,652 minimum. The final salary offer may be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, experience, expertise, and availability of department or grant funds. We consider market benchmarks and internal equity to ensure fair compensation.

The Brandt Behavioral Health Treatment Center and Retreat is a first‑of‑its‑kind facility in New Jersey dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health treatment to adolescents and young adults. As we prepare to open this transformative center, we are seeking experienced and visionary psychiatrists to join us in leadership roles.
The Departments of Psychiatry at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in collaboration with the University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) and RWJBarnabas, is recruiting a psychiatrist for the position of Medical Director at Brandt Behavioral Health Care.
The candidate must be Board Certified/eligible with a NJ medical license and have expertise in youth and young adult behavioral health to provide leadership and clinical care at the Brandt Center. These roles will shape the center’s clinical vision, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure excellence in care and innovation.
