The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) seeks a highly qualified, innovative, and collaborative leader to serve as the Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) Division Director.
As Division Director, you will lead clinical, educational, and research missions of the MFM Division, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and academic achievement across the region.
Salary: Minimum $144,413 (final offer may vary based on qualifications, experience, and available funding).

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), Downtown New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Responsibilities Leadership & Administration- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the MFM Division, aligning with departmental, medical school, and health system priorities.
- Oversee and support clinical, educational, and research activities of the division.
- Develop and implement innovative programs to enhance patient care, faculty development, and resident/fellow education.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high‑caliber faculty and staff.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and national regulations and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with hospital and health system leadership to optimize maternal and fetal care delivery across multiple sites.
- Oversee delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centered perinatal care, including high‑risk pregnancy consultations, fetal therapy, and prenatal diagnosis.
- Develop and expand MFM clinical services, including outreach programs and telemedicine initiatives.
- Collaborate with general obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to enhance multidisciplinary perinatal care.
- Work with nursing and other health system staff to achieve key performance indicators.
- Participate in clinical care, maintaining an active role in inpatient and outpatient services.
- Provide oversight in quality measures, patient experience, and outcomes.
- Lead department productivity initiatives and financial performance.
- Provide oversight and mentorship for MFM faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Direct, support, and enhance the MFM fellowship program, ensuring a robust curriculum and compliance with ACGME accreditation standards.
- Contribute to medical school teaching and educational initiatives, including lectures, workshops, and simulation training.
- Promote and support clinical, translational, and basic science research within the division.
- Foster collaboration on research initiatives with the division, department, and institutional research centers.
- Encourage faculty and trainees to publish and present nationally.
- Secure external funding to support perinatal research and innovation.
- Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty certification in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New Jersey.
- Minimum of five years experience in maternal‑fetal medicine, including ultrasound expertise and invasive MFM procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic setting; experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong record of clinical excellence, research achievement, and commitment to education.
- History of securing extramural research funding.
- Experience in program development, faculty mentorship, and collaboration with health system leadership.
- Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and population health strategies in perinatal care.
