Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant (Reenrollment) for the Undergrad Education - Academic Services within the School of Arts and Sciences. The Senior Administrative Assistant (Reenrollment) reports to the Associate Dean of Academic Services and the Assistant Dean/Director of Non-traditional students and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the SAS Withdrawal and Reenrollment process.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Organizes, coordinates, and executes the all functions associated with the School of Arts and Sciences withdrawal/reenrollment, including the timely processing of approximately 900 university withdrawals and 2,000 reenrollment applications per year.
* Maintains the withdrawal and reenrollment databases, processes withdrawals as per university policy by coordinating with other university units and offices, reviews reenrollment applications and independently determines enrollment eligibility and status.
* Coordinates the student grade review processes for reenrollment eligibility and provides routine and non-routine information and explanations to students seeking reenrollment and re-entering the university following a hiatus.
* Student advising functions are independently performed in writing, in person, and remotely, using state-of-the art remote contact tools and social networking, and may be required in the evening and/or on weekends.
* Assists newly reenrolled students with their registration and other university processes, such as financial aid appeals.
* Creates and develops an outreach and recruitment initiative to promote reenrollment of SAS alumni.
* Compiles and maintain the data for SAS students withdrawing and/or taking leaves of absence as well as reenrolling and create informational materials to both students and faculty/staff.
* Provides supporting research, analyses on both processes, as well as maintain and controls withdrawal/reenrollment records, statistics, reports, and documents.
