Lecturer, Educational Psychology
Rutgers University, Graduate School of Education (GSE), invites applications for a part‑time Lecturer position in the Department of Educational Psychology for the Fall 2025 semester (September 2, 2025 – December 22, 2025). Courses will be taught at the New Brunswick campus and/or in hybrid/online formats.
Responsibilities• Develop and teach undergraduate or graduate level courses in at least one of the following subject areas:
- School Counseling and Counseling Psychology
- College Student Affairs and Higher Education
- Educational Psychology:
Learning & Cognition and/or Human Development - Gifted Education
- Special Education
- Educational Statistics, Measurement, and/or Evaluation
• Prepare course materials, deliver lectures, create assessments, manage student communication, and submit grades in accordance with contract timelines.
QualificationsMinimum requirements:
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Experience in teaching or working in a P‑12 or higher‑education setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the content areas listed above.
Preferred qualifications:
- Doctorate in Education or related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level.
- Teaching portfolio or demonstrated curriculum development skills.
- Salary:
Minimum $2,777 per credit. Final offer may vary based on qualifications, experience, grant funds, market benchmarks, and internal equity. - Class hours: 2.0–3.0 credits per semester (at least 2.0 credits). Part‑time status.
