Overview
Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-Insurance-Manager role ation:
Anywhere in country (New York or Remote). The TARAS practice in EY’s National Tax Department serves high-profile national and multinational clients, providing domestic and international tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. This seasonal role focuses on tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and related control testing within financial reporting for income taxes.
- Provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
- Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
- Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment.
- Assess tax risk and control environments inclusive of and beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred.
- Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, a tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience; experience in corporate tax planning and compliance; relevant tax experience or equivalent in business or industry with broad exposure to federal income taxation.
- Salary range: $90/hr to $120/hr (location-based). Total Rewards include medical/dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off options.
- Hybrid model: most client-serving roles require working in person 40-60% of the time over an engagement, project, or year.
