Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician will assist with the Sterile Compounding course in the School of Pharmacy curriculum. This course is offered once a week during the Spring semester, with a one hour lecture and five sections of laboratory, each one hour and twenty minutes.
The technician will assist the students during class, helping to teach hands‑on techniques and answering student questions.
- Monitors the progress of each laboratory session to ensure that each student completes the required components.
- Provides feedback to the course coordinators on laboratory activities and assists in the design of laboratory sessions.
- Assists the course coordinators with laboratory setup and cleanup.
- Grades students during their practical exams.

Salary Details$25 per hour

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a hospital pharmacy, spending the majority of time in compounding sterile products or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in training others in sterile products.
