Behavioral Assistant (BA)
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides comprehensive youth and family support services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities serving the state of New Jersey. This part‑time position seeks Behavioral Assistants (BA’s) to join our team.
Compensation- Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $25.00/hr
- Starting rate $20.00/hr

- Visit clients at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.
- Work 2–20 hours weekly in 2–4 hour shifts, typically after 3:00 pm during the school year and as early as 8:30 am during the summer. Services available any day of the week to accommodate client needs.
- Participate in Individual Support Plan development and implementation.
- Deliver and monitor behavior analysis services.
- Submit weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision, intake data assessments.
- Collect and display data (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient’s behavioral analysis service plan.
- Comply with service authorization, including time frames and service hours.
- Implement interventions and behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors.
- Carry out treatments designated by the supervising behavior analyst, including:
- Facilitating environmental arrangements.
- Using proactive strategies.
- Teaching and developing new skills.
- Managing specific consequences for behavior based on function.
- Assist child or youth in increasing ADL (Assisted Daily Living) skills within home and during community outings.
- Assist parent/guardian in implementation of the treatment plan.
- Assist behavior analyst in training caregivers and/or staff.
- Prevent, recognize, and intervene in crises.
- Ensure all agency policies are implemented and followed.

- Knowledge of behavioral interventions.
- Must have completed the free CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification course or be able to complete it within 6 months of hire (see: https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
- 2–4 years experience in behavioral healthcare (maladaptive behaviors).
- 2–4 years experience working with children with disabilities (developmental/intellectual or mental illness).
- Valid NJ driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
- Consent to and pass state/federal criminal background checks.
- Spanish‑speaking bilingual candidates welcomed.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship; we cannot sponsor H‑1B or other employment visas.
